IAA Transportation 2024: Prometeon sharpens the profile

The time has come: This year marks the international brand relaunch of the commercial vehicle tire business, which was spun off from Pirelli in 2017, as the independent brand Prometeon. Consequently, products centered around the premium tire series 02 are the focal point of the Prometeon Tyre Group's trade fair appearance (Hall 12, Stand D52). Prometeon's first long-distance tire is available on the market with an A tire label for fuel efficiency and in five product lines. Key features compared to previous models:

• an average of 18 percent reduced rolling resistance,
• an average of 10 percent improved mileage,
• an average of 20 percent increased durability, and
• an average of 10 percent improved uniform wear.

In development and manufacturing, Prometeon has focused on the use of renewable materials as well as blends with sustainable materials. Additionally, the 02 series tires can be regrooved and retreaded. Prometeon also introduced new tire designations with the product series: a letter indicates the application (H for highway, R for regional, U for urban, G for construction, and mixed routes). Furthermore, the type of use is specified (Profuel for reduced rolling resistance, PRO Trailer specifically for trailers and semi-trailers, Urban-e for city buses with electric and hybrid drives).

Prometeon offers a multi-brand portfolio that includes Prometeon as its own brand for the first time, as well as Pirelli, Formula, Pharos, and Anteo as its main brands. The Prometeon Tyre Group is also the only tire manufacturer that focuses exclusively on the industrial sectors (goods and passenger transport), agriculture, and OTR. As one of the leading companies in the development, production, and marketing of tires, Prometeon also offers a wide range of service and fleet management solutions. The range of services includes, among others, the PRO Time breakdown service, the PRO Management billing system, the PRO Check tire inspection and monitoring system, and Prometeon Fleet Fit fleet management, all of which will also be addressed in Hanover.
