Digitization of Training and Education: Spedifort Offers User-Friendly E-Learning Platform for Logistics Companies

Digitalization is making its way – even in education. Inn- ovativ knows this. The training provider for the transport and logistics sector offers not only industry-standard courses and instructions on its e-learning platform. Customers can also set up their own channels with explanatory videos or internal company documents.

For a successful digitalization in companies, the user-friendliness of a solution plays a crucial role. For the training provider Inn-ovativ from Kiefersfelden in the Inn Valley, this is a significant reason to revise its E-learning platform Spedifort. Freight forwarding and logistics companies in the DACH region use it, among other things, for digital employee training and safety instructions.

A simplified navigation is now intended to make it easier for users to find and complete the appropriate courses and instructions. According to Inn-ovativ, fewer clicks will be necessary for this in the future. In addition, customers are given the opportunity to set up their own channels for the first time. In a protected area, documents with internal company information or explanatory videos about specific work processes can be stored, for example.

"Even the best digitalization strategies remain unsuccessful if they do not gain the acceptance of the users. That is why we place great emphasis on a high degree of user-friendliness with Spedifort and continuously develop the solution with this in mind," explains Inn-ovativ managing director Andreas Rinnhofer.

Since the beginning of the year, the courses and instructions on the e-learning platform have been presented in a completely revised design with simpler and clearer menu navigation. At the same time, companies have been given the opportunity to create their own channels and convey their company-specific learning content there.

"Spedifort has already developed into a standard solution for the transport and logistics industry in the past. Now we have created the conditions that allow companies to also convey their individual content in self-designed and organized areas through the platform," says Rinnhofer.

One major advantage of adding company-specific channels, according to Inn-ovativ, is the centralization of knowledge management: Instead of many coexisting forms of delivery, companies can offer their employees a unified, digital learning environment.

In addition, this ensures that knowledge is centrally stored and minimizes the risk of loss, for example because content can no longer be found.

"Many companies today are struggling with high employee turnover. To prevent the knowledge acquired by an employee from leaving the company with them, it is crucial that it is stored in a central and easily accessible location," explains Rinnhofer.

The e-learning platform Spedifort was created in 2017 with the aim of promoting digitalization in vocational education and training. Since then, the solution has been continuously expanded and adapted to the current requirements of the transport and logistics industry. In the past year alone, the number of courses and training sessions increased from 3,500 to 4,200.

Similarly, during the same period, the number of active users grew from 36,000 to 46,000, which corresponds to an increase of an average of 750 new users per month. The number of certifications granted also significantly increased. For the first time, over a quarter of a million certificates were issued last year.

E-learning for drivers: Bringing qualification online In this development, Rinnhofer sees both confirmation and motivation:

“It shows that digitalization does not stop at vocational education and training. Our goal is to support transport and logistics companies in this process and to provide them with a tool that is always up-to-date and tailored to their specific needs.”

For example, the content for the legally required further training measures according to the Professional Driver Qualification Law (BKrFQG) has already been integrated, which, according to current plans, can also be completed as e-learning units in the future.
